Science beyond science
Held by some to be absolute
At the heart of this mysterious creation
We find our home
Magic and wonder
Profoundly enigmatic
beholders of the universe
We magical beings.
Physics beyond grasp
Angels and Gods
Demons and devils
Placeholders for knowledge
Tentative whispers elusive wheels within dream
Manifestations of shadow reflections
Flickering across cavern walls
Confused meanderings concealed meanings
Who can this tangle untease.
Senses sensors too blunt
To perceive the minutiae the finesse
That dances beyond the scope
Of mere equations to define
No limits on the limitless
Reach of eternity
Infinity defies definition.
Galaxy after galaxy
Compresses to a pinpoint blur
Piled in super cluster upon supercluster
Light stretches beyond the reds
Dreaming exotic energies
In the spiral helix
Of potential
All potentials
Be realised.

HALCYON DAYS
Autumn
Summers Parthian shot
A warm hug of remembrance
Promises of return whispered
In chirrup of crickets
The raucouse discourse of cicadas
Shortening days, still, warm as a welcome
Winters sojourn is on its way.
Gentle is the hauteur
Of summers faded grace
Gold and russet fragrant days
Spent in honeyed sunlight
Dappled shades depth
Revealed in the darkening
Scent of ocean on heavy air
Autumn makes a fine bed
In which summer may rest.

CRYSTAL SKIES
In the winter time
Light is in short supply
Chill cools airs and graces
Faces in the fog
Morning mists cling in lower places
Secretive hallowed spaces.
Grey skies, thin starshine
Lean heat from a distant sun
Lovers on the brink
No commitment.
Surrender to the night
Give yourself to the seasons thrall
Earth soft water plumped
Slip and you will fall
Into a crystal sky
Spinning gently through the seasons.
