Michael Hislop is an Australian writer, poet, and visual artist whose work reflects a deep commitment to creativity, cultural dialogue, and the exploration of the metaphysical dimensions of human experience. He is honoured to serve as the Australian Contributing Editor for Multicultural Press, and extends his heartfelt thanks to Mai, Christine, and the entire team for their trust and support.
Before dedicating himself fully to the creative arts, Michael built a career as a corporate lawyer, following academic studies in Political Science. In the wake of personal transformation during the COVID era, he made the conscious decision to pursue his lifelong calling in poetry, literature, and painting.
Inspired by the philosophy of Pablo Picasso—that the meaning of life lies in discovering one’s gifts, refining them, and giving them back to the world—Michael has embraced a path of artistic purpose. Each day, he strives to develop his creative voice and contribute meaningfully to a global cultural conversation.
In 2022, recognising a renewed global interest in the metaphysical and non-material aspects of life, Michael co-founded the Metaphysical Artistic School for this time and place. Drawing inspiration from the traditions of past metaphysical poets and painters, the initiative has since grown into an international movement with thousands of members worldwide.
Michael is also the publisher of Kavya Kishor International and an organiser within the International Creative Commons, further demonstrating his dedication to fostering artistic collaboration and cultural exchange across borders.
Through his work, he invites audiences to engage with creativity as a transformative and unifying force. He warmly thanks readers and supporters for their ongoing interest and encouragement.
